Letter from the Director

Dear Families,

Thank you for your interest in the Oakland Bears Junior Hockey program. Since taking over the program I have enjoyed getting to know all of our current families better as well as getting acquainted with the newer people in our program. I truly believe we are establishing ourselves as one of the premiere places to play in Northern California. We have redesigned the way many of our programs operate and we have actively searched for top rate coaches. I am extremely pleased with the progress in all of our areas and I am excited for the future of Bears Hockey. Our coaching staff is better then ever and our attention to our lower levels has paid off with a great number of newcomers aged 10 and under.

This year we have redesigned our Learn to Play program; we want to offer players of all ages and abilities the opportunity for extra ice time and the chance to improve their individual skills. This new program will run on Saturday and Sunday mornings and offers an amazing amount of ice time at a very reasonable cost. We have top rated USA Hockey certified coaches who ensure that our Learn to Play program accommodates the absolute beginner and challenges the top competitive travel player. I think this is going to be a very exciting year for our program and I want to again thank you, the families, for your continued support and effort as we truly could not do this without you. It is our families that make our program great and I look forward to our continued relationships as well as the new ones we will be establishing.
